The logo was created for the 2023 inaugural Discipleship Conference in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City. It expresses the faith journey of Oklahoman Catholics in its color, icons, and shapes. -The gold sky represents the sovereignty of our loving and merciful God. The red earth represents the people of Oklahoma. The two realms meet at a winding path - representing the faith journey of every person. The path is open for all to enter. -The white sun rising in the background represents Christ. Catholics easily recognize it as the Eucharist, which is the source and summit of our faith. The path leads to the Eucharist and flows from it. The movement signifies that we are called to intimacy with Christ and commissioned by Him to go forth and bing the Good News to the world. -The four sheaves of wheat represent the four steps of discipleship: encounter, accompany, community, and send. In his 2019 Pastoral Letter, Go Make Disciples: Building a Culture of Conversion and Discipleship, Archbishop Paul Coakley reflected on the parable of the sower and how the seed which fell on good soil brought forth grain - some a hundredfold, some sixtyfold, and some thirtyfold. -The single ring framing the image recalls the faithful's universal call to holiness, whatever the conditions, duties, and circumstances of their lives. Overall, the logo serves as a reminder that we are called to be disciples who make disciples.
